The Early Morning

After just two and half hours of sleep, I am instantly awake,
Between the minutes, I count backwards from 100, again and again.
When an hour has passed, I get up and 
Become ... alone.
In an hour, I have read many pages
Or a couple of chapters
Of my book.
Off I go, to try again.
